Samuel Haun is an award-winning Texas-based filmmaker, director, cinematographer, and screenwriter with nearly two decades of experience spanning narrative features, genre shorts, documentaries, music videos, and branded content. Known for emotionally driven storytelling and a bold visual style, Haun founded DreamSketch Films and has built a wide-ranging body of work reflecting both technical expertise and deliberate creative vision.
His award-winning feature-film directorial debut, Wicked Season, marked a significant turning point in his career, establishing his voice as a filmmaker through grounded tension, emotionally complex characters, and striking visual design.
Haun is currently preparing to direct and produce The Last Thing I Have to Write, a psychological drama with fantasy elements about a writer nearing sixty whose deepest ambitions are suddenly placed within reach. Through the mystery of a wish-granting typewriter, the film explores success, identity, and the relationships people risk sacrificing while pursuing the lives they believe they want.
His upcoming projects also include the feature-length psychological horror anthology Where the Monster Lives, a surreal and emotionally charged exploration of trauma, identity, and the darkness carried within us. He is also developing Dead Man’s Game, an action-thriller mystery being advanced alongside Guillermo Iván of Golden Ceiba Productions and producer John Keenan.
Haun’s cinematography work includes the military action-drama Warhorse One (2023), on which he served as Director of Photography and Aerial Camera Operator. He was Second Unit Director and B Camera Operator on the action-horror feature Daylight’s End (2016) and contributed as Camera Operator and Battle Scene Editor on the historical epic Washington’s Armor (2022).
His acclaimed short films, including Requital, One Last Call, and Beware the CandyMaker demonstrate his ability to create intense atmosphere, emotionally grounded characters, and cinematic precision within demanding independent-production schedules. Across many of his projects, Haun assumes multiple creative roles—from directing and screenwriting to cinematography and post-production—allowing him to maintain a cohesive and uncompromising vision from development through completion.
In addition to the projects currently moving toward production, Haun continues developing original feature films, including the philosophical crime drama American Karma. Through DreamSketch Films, he remains committed to creating ambitious, character-driven films while strengthening professional filmmaking and community partnerships throughout North Texas.
MARK DAVID ANTHONY

Mark David Anthony is a film producer, screenwriter, and actor based in North Texas. Born in Williamson, West Virginia, he was encouraged from an early age by his schoolteacher parents to pursue his interests in writing and history—passions that would continue to shape both his professional life and creative work.
After building a career in journalism, public relations, and politics in Ohio, Anthony turned his attention to screenwriting and film production through a creative partnership with North Texas filmmaker Samuel Haun. Together, they helped bring the imaginative horror-noir feature Wicked Season (2024) to the screen and have continued developing original stories for future production.
Anthony brings a writer’s understanding of character and narrative to his work as a producer, helping guide projects from the written page toward practical production. He and Haun are currently collaborating to bring several original screenplays to the screen through DreamSketch Films.
